Join Angela Jamison for A GLOBAL GATHERING FOR INDIA!

YGB is grateful to Angela Jamison for offering this special class to support our annual campaign "A GLOBAL GATHERING FOR INDIA" to unite as one global community to give back to India with gratitude for the gift of YOGA.

This will be an Ashtanga Full Primary Series class counted in Sanskrit, appropriate for practitioners who are familiar with the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. You will receive a ZOOM link upon registration.

Angela has been a student of Ashtanga Yoga since 2000, and has practiced daily, without interruption, for 19 years. She was certified to teach the advanced series of Ashtanga Yoga by her teacher, R. Sharath Jois in 2017. Angela founded Ashtanga Yoga Ann Arbor in 2011, and continues to lead a thriving, dedicated community of Ashtanga practitioners there. You can learn about Angela and AY:A2 here.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 again this June to help YGB launch Women Rise Digital Center in the rural villages of West Bengal so 5,000 girls can women can finally have access to computers and the Internet. Can you imagine living without online access in this day and age? The need for help has proven to be especially critical during this incredibly difficult time of the pandemic, and all of its devastating, rippling effects.

Your participation will also ensure that the 2,400 women and children whom YGB already supports with micro-loans and education funds in Karnataka and West Bengal.

Girls shared one mobile phone for remote learning during the 18-month long school closure due to the pandemic. Hundreds of women we support with micro-loans lost their income due to market closure.

Let's level the playing field!

The Women Rise Digital Center directly addresses the known digital divide for rural communities and women, empowering girls and women with resources and technology to continue their education and connect with the global market and workforce. This Center is the next phase of YGB's programs of empower that have been operating with NGO Partner NISHTHA for the last decade.

Thank you for being part of this global collective effort.
