Donate Now to Support Women and Children in India
My goal is to have 1000 of you to join me in this campaign, with as little as $10 a month!
Let's Channel Our Gratitude into Empowering Women and Children in India!
To my fellow teachers and students of yoga: if you teach this path or have benefited from the wisdom that India gave us, there is no better way to honor her and her people than by offering your help or donations. Covid has struck India with a brutal force. It's time to show up!
Join me in supporting real change! Together, we can start a sustainable revolution of giving back. Help us empower women and children in Mother India to build sustainable livelihoods.
I support Yoga Gives Back (YGB) because I think LOVE IS THE GOAL
OF LIFE. Being a yoga teacher gives
me the opportunity to do what I love
and give back at the same time.
Here is a quick look at YGB's response to the COVID-19 crisis and how your support will save lives!
1. Ensure that we raise enough funds so that our 1400 fund recipients can survive this current surge and its long lasting effect: children to continue their education and women to continue their work.
2. Prepare to use our funding for emergency relief as we did in 2020, if the lockdown happens again:
- Shift funding from regular micro loan funding to supplemental food for over 500 struggling families
- Hygiene and sanitary napkins for over 700 girls and women
- Education materials for over 500 children
- Assistance to ensure 200 teen girls to continue their remote tutorial classes, including providing food incentive for the girls' families to keep them at school with YGB scholarship
While many of us are blessed to have yoga practice in our lives, many women and children are struggling for their lives, severely affected by COVID-19 nationwde lockdown and a catastrophic Cyclone Amphan.
It's estimated that 300 million people worldwide practice yoga, generating $80 billion every year. If a fraction of this is redirected, we can make a life changing difference.
