Choose from the 5 options on how to support children and women in India

$2,200 towards $10,000

Will you help me to raise funds for women and children in India so they have the opportunity to create a brighter future for themselves and their children then their (grand)mothers could?

I am an ambassador for Yoga Gives Back, the charity who provides education for children and micro-loans for mothers through various programs that have proven to be successful. Besides this, YGB supports an orphanage that houses a 100 children, and founded SHE, a scholarship program that is funding 150 high school girls in rural villages of West Bengal and 50 teen boy and girl students in Chamarajanagar, Karnataka. The program is a five-year commitment so that they can finish high school education and aim for a college degree.

One other YGB project is particularly close to my heart as I have worked before with survivors of human trafficking, mostly sex trafficking and have witnessed the devastating consequences of these traumatic experiences. "Devadasi" means "Servants of God." When girls of this community reach puberty, they are dedicated to God and subsequently forced to prostitution for survival. Once an ancient religious practice, it has now become forced prostitution for girls as young as 10 years old. This tragic way of life continues in Central and Northern Karnataka, India. Yoga Gives Back's NGO partner Deenabandhu Trust has completed a home to care for 87 rescued girls from the poorest caste, including 15 Devadasi daughters, just outside of Mysore. In 2020, YGB's goal is to support as many of these girls as we can, in addition to the existing programs.

The inspiring work of Yoga Gives Back can only continue with the help of you, your family, friends and colleagues.

These are the options on how you can help manifest the dream of many women and children in India for a hopeful future:

$5 a month can give Education Materials for 12 Children.

$15 a month can give Higher Education for 1 Teenager.

$25 a month can give Micro Loans for 11 Women Potters.

$45 a month can give Elementary Education for 3 Girls.

$100 a month can give Caring Home for 2 Orphan Children.

Let's make this happen together!

Thank you,

Namaste
