Join me in supporting real change. Let's support good in the world and make a difference. Help us empower women and children in Mother India to build sustainable livelihoods as Yoga Gives Back. Women and girls are the most marginalized citizens of India. Yoga gives back is partnered with Nishtha an amazing grassroots organization in Kolkata. I was able to visit Nishtha last October, as a graduate student in Global Health and a human rights activist I found the educational opportunities, programs, and sources of income for women and girls truly inspiring. I witnessed schools, female entrepreneurship, street theatre, and listened to girls stories who were attending college. NOW more than ever due to COVID all the independence and strides made are being threatened. Girls are being forced into marriage and women cannot run their businesses. Cyclone Amphan hit the villages and now clean drinking water is a VERY BIG ISSUE.
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Yoga Gives Back in helping Nishtha. We cannot afford to lose all the progress made in helping these women and girls realize their true value and importance in society and the world at large.Your contribution will help get the villagers back on their feet. Ending Violence against women and girls and gender equality is one of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved by 2030.Everyone has the right to live, for shelter, protection, and development!
